Floating Jasmine and Sugar & Wonder

May's Scents of the Month

I'm really excited to introduce two brand new fragrances this month for Scents of the Month.  Scents of the Month are limited edition fragrance that I release for only a month or two in my shop....though, if they are exceptionally popular I will add them to my seasonal line as supplies allow.

I knew I wanted a floral fragrance for May and I had been working on this wonderful jasmine fragrance for a long time.  I was really pleased when I finished it in time for it to be included in the May release.  I am super picky about my fragrances and even more so about floral notes.  They must be true, modern, and not cloying.  This jasmine just makes my heart sing.  It is so lovely and fresh.

Floating Jasmine
The incredible fragrance of demure jasmine blooms mixed with a touch of sweet spring grass, early morning dew, crystal sunshine, and a whisper of fresh orange zest.

Sugar has to be one of my all time favorite notes...crystallized sugar, spun sugar, caramelized sugar.  I just love how that one note has both the power to invoke innocence, playfulness, and attraction.  Now that the weather is turning warmer for us here finally, I crave berries fragrances.  Sweet, fresh, and all about sun.  For this fragrance I combined my favorite things to create an alluring and playful, yet fresh and modern fragrance for the warmth of spring.

Sugar and Wonder
Crushed summer ripe strawberries and blackberries mixed with warm white amber and tender night blooming jasmine, all tied together with a dose of spun sugar.

Of coarse, as with all of my Scents of the Month, both of May's fragrance are available not only in perfume but my full selection of bath and body products!  Everything is handmade and cruelty free.

If you can't choose, why not grab both!  Floating Jasmine and Sugar & Wonder are available as a set for $40 for a limited time only.

A Merry Little Winter Collection

Introducing Wylde Ivy's newest mini collection.  An assortment of six fragrances celebrating the best of what I love about the winter months.  Delicious vanillas, dry woods, bracing mints, warm spice, and a little bit of seasonal magic.

A holdover from my Halloween Collection because I just can not get enough of this sweet vanilla perfection.  Abominably Adorable is sweet, warm, and utterly inviting. The scent of fire scorched marshmallows, steamed vanilla infused milk, a touch of fire warmed white amber, and a whisper of crushed alpine flowers.

Rich and sweet, dark vanilla meets a frosty sugared mint.  Leave a lasting impression under the mistletoe this year.   Candy Cane and a Kiss gives you a fresh blast of frosted mint and then settles down into a comfortable and alluring vanilla musk.
Sweet light vanilla musk, black bourbon vanilla beans, sugared candy mint.

A unique and utterly inviting fragrance of dry winter woods with a heavy dose of gourmand vanilla and hints of deep black cocoa and coffee notes. Aged cypress bark, roasted cocoa nuts, steeped vanilla beans, dried tonka beans, crushed pine cones, blonde sandalwood, with a dash of powdered espresso.

Sheer, glistening, radiant, and positively alight...One Thousand Lights will be your fragrance of the winter season. A fresh white warm sugar blend that is innocent and inviting, mysterious and unforgettable all at the same time. Sugar musk soaked mandarin, crushed red berries, blue heliotrope, tonka bean, whipped cream, and blonde woods.

This is the time of the year to unapologetically enjoy your desserts, to lavish in the simple fragrances of sweetness, to celebrate the little things that make you happy. Gingerbread Ice Cream because that is what winter is for. Rich warm spiced gingerbread mixed with soft homemade vanilla bean ice cream and topped with a dab of sweet buttercream.

Please have snow and mistletoe and sweet spiced sugared amber fragrances. Please Have Snow is a blend of some of the best fragrances winter brings us. Cozy on up with dried citrus rinds, rare saffron infused heavy cream, fresh grated nutmeg, clove spiked brulee, smoked vanilla pods, and caramelized white amber.

This collection will be available through February at www.wyldeivy.com and in my Etsy Shop.  These special fragrances are available as perfumes, lotions, creams, sugar scrubs, and body oils.  All of my products are handmade and vegan.

As the sun moves away....

As we make a slow turn a way from the summer plump leaves begin to tinge in the faintest of yellow, the golden hour haze gets a little more magical, the spiderwebs glisten heavy with dew, and.......MONSTERS!

That's right, the monsters are here!  This past week so many new scents hit the virtual shelves in my online shop. Old seasonal favorites such as Hello September, Dark November, Solstice Road, and Pumpkin Masquerade welcomed the all new scents like Cinder and Spice, Black Blossom Honey, and Shadow Fall.  Still, as exciting as all those luscious fall and winter scents are, I think everyone anticipates the arrival of the Monsters.

My limited release Halloween Collection are always favorites.  Gorgeous and unique perfume scents inspired by our favorite Halloween monsters and the stories about them you've never heard.  A zombie stopping at nothing to get to give his true love chocolates and crushed carnations, the Bride of Frankenstein's first thoughts upon waking, a sad and beautiful ghost wondering why she feels so distant from her love, a Mummy trying his had at finding love through a personal ad, and more.

This year, A Touch of Brimstone joins the collection.

The Story
By chance she crossed his path.  By chance his eyes found hers. When the curtain fell, it fell silently.  The curtain of magic that hid him, the true him, from the world.   She saw him.  He saw  her.  In those few moments, seconds at most, she had seen him.  It was not the him that he presented to the world.  That slipped away when he looked into those deep blue bottomless pools of her eyes and the memory came flooding back.  What he used to be.  What she used to be to him.  Lifetimes ago.  They had come full circle, back again through impossible spans of time and place.  Yet here she was, face to face with a monster.  Face to face with him.  But still, she looked at him with all the knowing and and love of their past selves.  Looked into the eyes of a thing, a terrible demon, and still her gentle warmth rushed towards him.
No he could not have it.  It had doomed them before, it couldn't be.  He'd spent centuries wish mongering for filthy people as a punishment, as a sacrifice that she may be at peace.  Oh the pain of those granted wishes. What was that spell again?   What was needed for forgetting....the dust of a star, an unspoken hope, a splinter of a soul, and just a touch of brimstone.

The Scent:
The sweet base of bourbon vanilla and warm musk mingled with crushed tonka beans and resinous amber, dried chapparal and sandalwood, and smoked vetiver and nutmeg.
This scent is part of the limited edition Monsters in Love collection and will be available through October 31st.

Wylde Ivy's Summer Celebration Sale and New Scent Release!

I love summer.  It just puts me in a good mood.  I guess that is why I can't stop making new summer scents.  I just listed four brand new summer scents in my shop today along with an all new fragrance added to the men's shop.  Let me introduce the newbies:

Blush Apple Summer Perfume by Wylde Ivy

Blush Apple
The scent of apples and summer just go together. The overgrown apple tree that shaded our yard, perfuming the air first with it's sweet blossoms then with the flesh of the ripening fruit.
Crisp green apple peels, lush apple blossoms and a hint of sweet summer blackberries and white musk.

Lavender Berry Sweet Summer Perfume by Wylde Ivy
 Lavender Berry
This delicious fragrance belongs to my floral desserts line with Frosted Lavender and Violet Fluff. Sweet, tart, and herbal all in one. Vanilla infused sweet cream drizzled with summer blackberry reduction and topped with farm fresh whipped cream dusted with lavender sugar.

Wildflower & Wood Summer Perfume by Wylde Ivy

Wildflower & Wood
Summer wildflowers over sun scorched wood. A warm and exotic fragrance with notes of white meadow flowers, honeysuckle, oud wood, and aged patchouli.

Blue Tulip Summer Perfume by Wylde Ivy
Blue Tulip
Dewy tulips and lush greens swirled with fragrant lilacs hint of french lavender, neroli, and heliotrope and a sprinkle of fresh citrus peel.

Flux for Men
Fresh, crisp, strong and demanding; like the roaring flow of water escaping the mountain. Citrus and green tea top notes cascade into rich juniper and clary sage, ending in the warmth of amber and tonka bean.

2015 Spring and Summer Scent Collection

It's here, it's here!  I am so ready for coconuts and suntans, flip flops and sunshine, spring flowers and dewy mornings.  I love when I can finally pull out all of my beloved spring and summer scents.  So without further ado, I present the 2015 Spring and Summer Collecion!

"Black Raspberry Crush"
Juicy, fresh, and just complex enough to make it modern, Black Raspberry Crush is your summer fruit scent. It is a blend of plump black raspberries with supporting notes of sweet citrus peel, peach nectar, pineapple juice, night blooming jasmine, and a whisper of white musk.

 "Coconut Island Castaway"
A fresh, beachy, suntan lotion inspired coconut scent. Pull up a chair, sink your feet into white sands, and soak in the sun.
Notes of: Coconut, vanilla, suntan lotion, sun warmed sand, and salt spray.

"Creamy Coconut"
A tropical coconut scent that will make you think of sun, sand, and lush green palm trees. Embrace summer and dive head first into creamy and sweet coconut love!

"Dragonfly Blue"
A cool ethereal scent of rain over pale moonflowers.
Notes of: summer rain, moonflowers, musk, ozone, dry moss.

"Dreaming of Violets"
A haunting blend of violets, summer blackberries, juicy clementines, and white lilies all wrapped up in a base of soft musk and sweet delicate woods.

"Driftwood & Coconut"
Heavenly fresh cracked coconuts blended with a touch of dried beach woods. A coconut scent that is rich, but light on the sweet. Driftwood and Coconut is a modern take on the classic tropical coconut scent.
Notes of coconut milk, moist coconut chunks, tonka bean, dried vanilla, and aged sandalwood
"Island Beauty"
A graceful, soft blend of island florals, creamy coconut milk, and sweet sugar cane. This is a light and beautiful scent, for when you are looking for a sheer fragrance. Fresh petals and soft musks blend into a creamy milky coconut finish.

"Just a Look"
You know the moment. A stranger catches your eye as you approach on the street. Fixated, you are unable to look away

Out of all of the faces on the street that night, out of all of noises and lights competing for her attention, one face had her entranced. He seemed to slide through the crowd effortlessly, like air moving between trees. His eyes locked on hers, hers unwilling to look away. They shared a silent moment as they approached each other. Though strangers, a lifetime of unspoken love passed between them. Everything melted away, the people, the sounds all disappeared. They passed, only inches from touching and then he was gone from her view. She lowered her eyes to the ground, still moving forward knowing in her mind she must have only imagined the pull of his eyes. She turned, greedy for one last look. She imagined watching him slip through the crowd as fluidly as he'd appeared, never knowing his name and never forgetting his eyes. She looked up and everything before her was frozen in place. He too seemed frozen, until slowly he turned and lifted his eyes to meet hers.

Just a Look is an exhilarating and flirty summer blend of sweet nectar and lush floral that demands more than just a look.
Notes of bergamot, raspberry, magnolia, tuberose, sheer musk, night blooming jasmine, orange blossom, oakmoss, and wildflower honey.

"Lost Island"
The water laps gently at the sun scorched sands. Palm fronds sway lazily in the hot breeze. Spent coconut shells dry in the sun. They may never find the island. They may never find you, but for today at least, you decide not to care.
Notes of dry coconut, palm leaves, a hint of island fruits, and deep golden amber.

"Pink Willow"
Demure, innocent, and sweet. The scent of cool spring dew clinging to delicate flowers wrapped in a blanket of white musk with a slight blush of pink.
Notes of white musk, lily of the valley, spring rain, water lily, willow, and bamboo leaves with a hint of strawberry, apricot nectar, and vanilla orchid.

"She Sells Sea Shells"
Reminiscent of Wylde Summer, another “summer in a bottle” scent. The smell of beach towels dried in the salty ocean air, six layers of suntan lotion on your skin, coconut scented after sun lotion, and the way all the scents linger so closely to your skin in the heavy humid summer air.
Notes of: coconut, crushed vanilla beans, coconut milk, orange blossom, tuberose, aloe vera, and white musk.

"Summer Fling"
If you ever smelled a scent that made you want to pull on a sundress, kick off your shoes, and head to the beach, this would be it! Pure summery sweetness. All the best things of summer wrapped up into one clean, fresh, fruity scent. Raspberries and peaches on a bed of sheer white summer flowers.

"Tiki"
Tiki is the intriguing scent of sun dried woods, salt spray, and smoked vanilla beans. Unisex, Tiki is a scent for all lovers of rich wood scents. Bring on the heat of a sun scorched island.
Notes of sandalwood, jasmine, cedar, musk, citron, tobacco, tonka bean, dried moss, and dusty patchouli.

A New Halloween Scent and a Contest!

The Scent:
Sinisterly sweet, warm, and sultry. Notes of smoked vanilla pods splashed with bourbon, amber resin smothered with caramelized sugar, pomegranate soaked orchid petals, and spicy pink peppercorns all wrapped in a thin veil of delicate musk.
Fans of It's My Party Bad Girl Edition will enjoy this darker, slightly less sweet scent.

This scent belongs to the Halloween Collection. The products from this collection are available until November 1st.  Find the entire collection here.

*****Story My Scent Contest*****

If you're a follower of Wylde Ivy, you probably know that I love to start my Halloween scents out with a story. Usually, I have the story in my head before I begin formulating the scents. Well, this scent was born a little differently. I had the name and the label art in my head first, and created the scent around that. As I sat staring at a blank monitor trying to compose the story, I decided to take the fun way out. I'm letting you write the story! The rules are simple. Really anything goes...short, long, silly, scary, avant garde, or conventional....as long as it is safe for general audiences. Submissions are due by October 29th. I will announce the winner on Halloween. The winner will receive a $100 gift certificate to Wylde Ivy. Please email your submission to soap [at] wyldeivy.com. Need some inspiration? Check out my other Halloween scents in my Etsy shop.

It's Almost Time for Spring...Spring Scents That Is!

We are very close to the arrival of the 2013 Spring and Summer Collection and of coarse I'm busy finishing everything up!  Release was schedualed for March 1st, but when I set the date I never looked at my calendar.  Since March 1st falls on a Friday and I tend to not be online as much on the weekend as during the week, I am pushing the release back a bit until March 4th.  This actually gives me a few days to post some sneak peeks of the new products.

First up for today is a list of the returning scents from the 2012 Spring and Summer Collection

Creamy Coconut
Dreaming of Violets
Dragonfly Blue
Island Beauty
Olive Leaf & Lemon
She Sells Sea Shells
Summer Fling
Raindancer

Tomorrow I will share a list of the soaps coming March 4th.

Big Reveal Party - Day 3

Today I have a several surprises.  One of them is a new scent reveal.  Shall we get to that one first?

Wanderer
An old soul and a young heart, familiar yet distant.  She keeps the sun at her back, always moving.  Keep your feet light and your heart open, they once told her.  It has taken her all these years to know what they meant.
Airy top notes of fresh bergamot and orchids, a warm base of dusty amber, cedar wood, smoked vanilla pods, and aged musk.
Wanderer goes on as aged amber vanilla and and it mingles on the skin, more of the top notes of bergamot and orchid peek out.  Wanderer is a mellow, warm sweet musk.

Wanderer will be available (with many more new scents) on September 17th in perfume, lotion, cream, scrub, and body oil.

More Returning Scents
Now onto the next bit.  I've barely been able to contain myself over this news.  Do you know how long I've been keeping this project a secret?  Forever it seems.  It has taken a long time to get them just right.

I have reformulated three previously discontinued Wylde Ivy scents.  These three were all discontinued after I lost the suppliers for specific components used in the scents.  All three were much beloved scents and I'm sure the loss of these scents has affected your daily well being.  Ok, ok...too far, too dramatic I know but that is sure how it felt to me when I had to put them away!

I've tinkered and toyed with these.  I made up version after version.  I scoured suppliers all over the internet for just the right pieces of the scent puzzle.  I am finished!  These scents are back and dare I say.....they are even better then before.  Truely.

So here it comes....I'm not telling which three scents these are today.  Sorry!  I'm going to make you play a little game to guess.  You get three guesses.  Submit your guesses as comments below (one guess per comment please).  In three days I will take all the correct answers and enter them into a drawing.  I'll draw three names.  See a three pattern?  It wasn't intentional really!  Each of those three winners will receive a perfume, lotion, and body oil trio in a scent of their choice.

Obviously, if you've been with Wylde Ivy for awhile you're probably harboring some suppressed angst over a discontinued scent so you'll have some to choose from.  No?  Oh yeah, I'm the one that has issues with discontinued scents. If you haven't been with Wylde Ivy for very long but would like to play, you can still make some educated guesses by perhaps, searching old blog posts...cough, cough...just saying.

Contest ends Sunday,  September 9th at midnight EST.  I will announce the winners and the scents on Monday.  Limit three entries per person.  Contest open to those within and outside of the United States.  Winners will have three days to contact me or the prize will be forfeited and offered to another winner.

Big Reveal Party - Day 2

It seems you can't step into a store anywhere without coming across some Halloween decorations.  Because of this and because I have two four year olds, we've been decorated for Halloween for about two weeks now.  Wiggling, smiling, metal spiders peek out from my massive hosta plants in front of our house.  We have styrofoam skulls and tiny resin skeletons all over our living room.  A beautiful, but creepy Victorian clad skeleton watches, slightly arrogantly, from a high shelf by our front door. I feel that she does not approve of my housekeeping skills as of late.  Sorry ma'am, I have perfumes to create, the dust can wait.  The girls are completely obsessed with bones and xrays right now so naturally they are loving the Halloween skeletons.  These are just the decorations that we've picked up this year.  They've been pestering to get the rest of our Halloween paraphernalia out.  Soon girls, soon.  All the early Halloween merchandise certainly fueled the completion of my next two projects.

This year TWO new monsters will be joining the Monsters In Love Collection!  I'm really excited about these!  For those of you who were not with me last year, my Monsters In Love Collection is a fun Halloween project I do every year.  I create scents based on famous monster figures.  Not just any monsters though, monsters in love.  The idea struck me when I was reading a silly short story about zombies called This Year’s Class Picture by Dan Simmons.  Basically it is about a school teacher who survived the zombie apocalypse and now teaches (or tries to teach) a fourth grade class of zombie children which she's found out wondering around.  Of coarse teaching a class full of forth grade zombies is about as hard as....well, teaching a fourth grade class.  This teacher is allowed to chain the kids to their desks, however, something that I think is frowned upon in today's education system.   Antics ensue and the story ends with a profound revelation about society and social acceptance.  No, not really...but it is a fun little story which can be found in The Living Dead Anthology.  I amused myself  by thinking about zombies in situations other than the usual pack wondering, brain craving way.  Thus the thought of a zombie getting ready to go on a date popped into my head and of coarse, being me, I had to envision it in scent.  I think we tend to forget that monsters have normal every day lives.  They brush their teeth (well some of them anyway), get dressed, and go to work like everyone else.  Lets face it, monsters are people too.

The New Monsters
Wrapped Up in You (Mummy)
Older man seeking a fresh young woman for long term relationship...
He is warm and sensuous and loves comfortable nights at home.  His last relationship went a bit stale, so he is getting out in the dating scene again and looking for a new love.  This is one guy who doesn’t mind waiting for Ms. Right.  His courtship ritual is quite that, a ritual.  He’ll draw you a nice bath of warm milk swirled with golden honey.   After a good long soak he’ll provide you with only the finest cuddly cotton to dry you.  The mummy loves lavish scents (anything to cover up that pesky scent of  packing dust).  He will adorn you with myrrh and frankincense and perhaps the faintest touch of spice.  The Mummy is one guy who is not afraid of commitment.  Once he’s found the right girl, he’s in it for the long haul (and so is she).
Notes of: Myrrh, warm milk, golden honey, frankincense, rosewood, old world spice, dried tobacco leaves, and incense smoke.  Wrapped Up in You goes on sweet and comforting and dries down to a more complex dry honey scent.

Stuck on You (The Blob)
You may not like The Blob at first.  In fact, he can be downright annoying.  But there is just something about his guy.  He sort of grows on you after awhile.  The Blob loves to cuddle, he’s a bit “touchy feely”.  In fact this guy doesn’t know the meaning of the words “personal space”.  While at first you may find the clinging a bit off putting, after a while you will start to relax into the arrangement.    You will see that The Blob can be quite sweet once you give him a chance.    He is one guy who will never stray far from you…or at least you will never stray far from him…ever.
Notes of: sticky, melted fruit candy, dried cotton candy, a touch of strawberries and sweet musk.  Stuck on You goes on candy sweet and melts beautifully into a smooth, mellow sugar musk

The Rest of the Monsters

A Little Lighter the Usual (Ghost)
She was happy once, very happy. Newly married to the love of her life, happiness and a world of possibilities lay ahead of them. They say that you never know what you have until it is gone but this was never the case with her and her love. They cherished each other, lived for each other. The lay in the dark just talking for hours about nothing and everything.

They had given their entire selves to each other…but life has a funny way of rushing on without when you are so absorbed in love. So it seemed that they lost their happiness quickly as well. They now passed each other, two ships in the night, seeming to never speak a word. In his eyes where she once found warmth and passion now only lay emptiness and regret. Even the air around them seemed heavier. At times it was hard for her to catch her breath. It was as if she was moving against an invisible tide, like being caught in a waking dream. She’d see him sitting quietly in deep contemplation and she would so desperately want to speak to him, to say anything, but the words just never seemed to come. She’d want to reach for him but something always made her keep her distance. He never even looked at her anymore. His eyes would drift in her direction at times, but it was as if he just didn’t see her.

She so desperately needed to know what came between them, how things changed so drastically. She struggled to remember anything, any tiny detail but it was just so hard to think. The only images her mind could conjure were of the driving rain on the windshield that black night, a blur of light and sound, and finally the image of her bare feet dripping water onto cold cement of the porch as she sat alone on the creaking swing waiting for him to open the door. Perhaps it was only her who had changed. She did feel strange these days, not quite herself…almost a little lighter then usual. If she could just somehow find her way back to him she knew they could be happy again.

A haunting and sheer fragrance, both beautiful and a little sad.
Soft notes of white musk, vanilla orchid, raw vanilla beans, tonka bean, bergamot, vanilla infused sugar, lily of the valley, and wet blackberries

Zombie went a Courtin' (Zombie)
Ah, the zombie. They are neither witty nor smart, and about as charming as a cinderblock. However, what the zombie lacks in charisma, he makes up for in devotion. When a zombie falls in love, there quite literally is nothing in the world that will keep him away from her. Slow and steady, he will make his way over walls, around burning cars, through muddy trenches until he is finally at his love’s side. Sure, he may loose an arm or the flesh from his torso, but what is that really in the grand scheme of things?
The scent of undying devotion. Notes of earth, heavy frankincense, black pepper, and crushed chocolates (that he so thoughtfully brought with him).

Eye of the Wolf (Werewolf)
Werewolves are quite creatures in their human form, for they have many secrets to keep. They are forever hunted, forever on the run. Though they have immeasurable strength, there is a tender loyalty about them that makes them gentle when they are truly happy. If you catch a werewolf’s eye, you just may find yourself whisked away, deep into the forest. This is where he feels the safest. Here you will be kept, where he hopes one day you will see what lies behind his wolf eyes.
The scent of brooding strength. Notes of cedar wood, vanilla, warm musk, and small woodland flowers.

Lovesick & Undead (Vampire)
Vampires are old things. They've walked the earth for centuries but in trade, lost everyone they've ever loved. They tend to build up walls, and no one can really blame them. Their greatest gift of immortality can also be their greatest pain. It happens however, at least once, to even the hardest of vampires...they slip, they fall in love. It may be the sun flecked highlights glistening in her hair, or her summer sky blue eyes. She reminds him of his lost life, his lost humanity, his lost sun. Once it happens, he falls in love fast and hard. He loves her warmth, her delicate body, the passion and fear of life that all mortals possess. He loves her mortality too much to turn her and as happens with all fragile humans the light of her life vanishes one day. So he sits, locked away in the damp and dark pining for his lost love. He obsesses over her memory, etching the details deep into his mind. The days roll into years, years to centuries, and he walks on, alone and grieving for his lost love and lost sun.
The scent of long lost love and mortality. Notes of earth, decaying wood, and leather with just a hint of orange blossoms and wildflower honey.

She Deviled (Devil)
She had a very good job once. She was a shoulder angel. You know those tiny voices that whisper to you when you are stuck between choosing right and wrong? There is always a good voice cheering you on telling you what you need to hear and there is always the sinister little bad voice planting those dark little seeds telling you want you want to hear. Don’t laugh, it is a real job…and a highly respectable position at that. She was a good shoulder angel and she loved it. She was great at it. She prided herself on having over an 85% success rate in all of her centuries of employment. She’d whispered to literally 1000s of men and women, even children. She was given some of the most difficult cases. She was always professional always polite and never, ever did she let herself get attached to her clients. Never, until that last one.

She fell hard for him. To this day she doesn’t know quite what it was. Perhaps his deep slightly raspy voice, or the way he smelled after a shower, or the way her ran his fingers through his hair when he was in deep thought. She found herself completely defenseless with him and completely obsessed. She could not leave him even after she had been given her reassignments and ultimately her unceremonious discharge from duties.

She stayed with him, desperately trying to win his love. If only she could make him see her. Her obsession turned into resentment. She began to see that she’d never had him the way that she wanted him. Now, she works pro bono whispering into the ears of women giving them the tiny little pushes they need to get themselves noticed. So if you ever feel just slightly devilish, it just may be you own personal she devil on your shoulder.

She Deviled is fiery and rich. This is the color of red, invoking visions of red leather boots, smoldering black lined eyes, and a confidant smirk.
Notes of cinnamon leaf, dried black currants, wood smoke, dying embers, aged vanilla, blackened cedar, and amber resin

These scents and more hit the shop September 17th.  Tomorrow continues with Day 3 of my Big Reveal Party.   I have more exciting news to share tomorrow...as if anything could be more exciting then a fun Halloween collection!  Just follow me here on my Blog, Facebook, and Twitter and you won't miss any of the excitement.

I Feel Accomplished

I feel like I made some good progress today. I spend almost the entire day tapping away on my keyboard and clicking pictures but I managed to list and restock all of the new soaps that were ready today. There were twelve of them! I also spent a good deal of time taking new pictures for my soap listings. I still have many, many photos to update but the progress feels good!

My favorite soap at the moment, Make Mine a Mocha. It just smells SO good. It gives me cravings. Seriously.

To see all of the new items that I added today, check out my What's New page.

New Scents and New Products!

I just finished updating my site with all the new scents and new products! Wow, it was a lot of work. It took me two days to get it all finished. There was a ton to add to the site!

First of all there are now 18 new scents. Yep, you read that right, 18. At the last minute, I included Black Raspberry Crush scent in the Summer lineup. After I posted the preview of the soaps I got quite a few emails asking for this scent in bath and body and perfume products. I don't know why I didn't think of that myself! It is such a fresh, fantastic scent. You can view all of the new scents and their descriptions on my Scents page.

In addition to the new Black Raspberry Crush soap, I restocked 10 others. You can check my What's New page to see a complete list.

There is an all new product just for summer, Silken Body Mists! I love body sprays in the summer, they are so refreshing and cooling. My new Silken Body Mist is a smooth and light burst of fragrance perfect for that quick pick me up or for layering on top of your favorite soaps, lotions, body oils, or perfumes.

The Silken Body Oils are now available in a cute little 2 ounce size in addition to the 4oz! They are great for travel, tossing in your beach bag, or for collecting all of your favorite Wylde Ivy scents!

For a special treat for the rest of June, you can get a free Silken Body Mist with your order over $50! In addition to that, get two more full size products of your choice with orders over $100! Don't forget about the special $5.00 flat rate shipping as well! Be sure to stop by my News and Specials page to see all the details of the special.

The free gifts offer is good for my Etsy shop as well! Just let me know in the comments section which scent you'd like for your Body Mist or, if you qualify for the two additional free products, in the comments section when you check out. No coupon code is needed, you don't even have to worry about adding extra product to your shopping cart. Just leave me a note and I'll take care of you!

The Summer 2010 Collection Sneak Peek & Sample Pack

They are ready! They are here! Well…sort of. The newest Wylde Ivy scents are ready to be released and I will start stocking them in my Etsy shop and my Wylde Ivy shop as soon as I return from vacation and ship out the orders that I receive while I am away. The tentative release date is June 14th.

Want to get your hands on them right now? I made up a few sample packs with each and every scent from the Summer 2010 collection. They are ready to ship now and they ship for free! These perfume oil sample vials are the perfect way to test out the fragrances and choose your favorites before ordering the full sized perfumes…or even scrubs, body oils, soaps, and more! The fruit blends are particularly good in Sugar Scrubs.
There is a wide range of scents included in the Summer 2010 collection and some scents are very different for Wylde Ivy. For the first time ever, I’ve done a water inspired collection! There are also a few great summer essential scents, some ripe bursting fruits, and some mysterious and sultry picks as well. I have even included two brand new men’s/unisex scents!

You will get 17 Perfume Oil Sample Vials for $25.00. These samples will be shipped free (within the United States) via first class mail. International shipping is available for just $2.00 through my Etsy shop. Hurry, sample packs are limited as is my time in my shop. I am leaving on vacation on Monday, so I’ll need to receive your order by Sunday at midnight EST in order for me to ship them before I leave. Please note that if you are ordering other items along with the samples, your samples will ship separately and before your other items. The cutoff time for ordering other items from my shop has passed and I simply won’t have time to make any new products before going away. These sample packs are already put together and ready to go out the door.

New Perfume on Etsy!

I have an all new scent that I created and it is debuting in my Etsy shop! You can find it here:

The Scent:
I love patchouli, I really do. It is such an exquisite blender and base in fragrances. I use it in many of my scents, but I wanted more. I Heart Patchouli isn't a straight patchouli scent, rather a scent designed around patchouli. First I found a mellow but rich and smooth patchouli. To that I added a light top note of jasmine and just the barest note of citrus to give to give the scent some lift. Finally, I gave the scent an amber and musk base to give the scent a modern and sophisticated edge. Now this is how I like my patchouli!

New Spring Soaps!

Introducing some new spring soaps!

Green Jasmine

I'll admit it, I was hording this fragrance all for myself. In the spirit of my New Year's resolution to embrace my inner minimalist however, I've decided to let it go. This is a limited scent. I had just enough to make one batch of soap and I'm sharing it! Of coarse I kept a few bars for myself. This is a beautiful Jasmine fragrance. It is thick and rich, just the Jasmine should be. This Jasmine carries a little secret. Underneath the heavy Jasmine fragrance there is a quick hint of lime peel that gives the scent just enough lift and pop to keep if fresh and modern.

Sparkling Clementine

A fresh, juicy, mouthwatering citrus. Put a little wake up burst into your morning shower. This is a bright clementine with just a touch of a champagne twist.

Bamboo Leaves

A gorgeous green blend of bamboo, white tea, and watercress with underlying hints of orchid petals and cedar. This fragrance is so fresh and beautiful, you will feel exhilarated with it is surrounding you!

Aerial

Aerial literally means, “existing or living in the air”. This white musk and floral fragrance is so sheer, so airy and light it will whisk you away for a walk in the clouds. In fact, if clouds had a fragrance, this is what they would smell like. Top notes of fresh and sexy White Musk blend into the flawless beauty of delicate white petals and end with an ever so soft blend white tea leaves.

Mondern Zen

An inspiring, fresh, and modern blend of cedar and dewy bamboo with hints of citrus peel, ginger, and ozone.

Island Beauty

You asked and I made, Island Beauty Soap is here. There is just one problem. It didn't turn out quite how I pictured it! Whoops! Get it now at a special price! A graceful, soft blend of island florals,

The scent:
creamy coconut milk, and sweet sugar cane. This is a light and beautiful scent, for when you are looking for a sheer fragrance. Fresh petals and soft musks blend into a creamy milky coconut finish.
