Any Day Now....

I'll be opening Wylde Ivy's doors (well virtual doors that is) any day now. I'm finishing up inventory, returning messages and emails, and updating the website. It feels good to be back in the shop.

My plans are to open back up with the stock I have on hand...with a sale of coarse! I need to make room for the summer items that I'll be making. If you are a newsletter subscriber, keep your eyes peeled for the opening announcement email. I'll be launching new items a little later. Stay tuned to the blog for sneak peeks and insider news regarding the new products.

...and because I am proud that I actually have new pictures of the girls uploaded off of my camera, I'll end this post with some baby cuteness!

Wylde Ivy is Gearing Back Up....

Now that our girls are home and doing so well...I'm itching to get back to work.

I'm planning on opening back up shortly and selling off the remaining stock with a clearance sale for seasonal items as well as some items that will be discontinued. I'm making some changes to the line...mostly packaging changes....so I'll need to clear and make room for the new. After that, I'll begin to manufacture the Summer line. I'm excited about this, I just love summer scents!

Bare with me in the next few weeks. I'll need to get used to a whole new work routine as well. Usually it was nothing for me to work 12 hours days which now will obviously not be possible with two little baby girls. I'm reorganizing, getting some more help, and streamlining my operations to help move things along faster.

I've got so many ideas for new soaps and scents I'm about ready to burst!

Stay tuned for more information....

The Girls are Finally Home

After an agonizing month long Neonatal Intensive Care stay, our girls are finally home with us and our family is complete! Everyone is doing well and our little girls are growing like weeds now.

We want to sincerely thank everyone for their encouraging emails, well wishes, and positive thoughts during our difficult time.

....and now onto the photos!
This is me the day the girls came home and actually the first time I was able to hold the two of them at the same time.

Our Baby Girls Have Arrived!

Though a bit earlier then expected our girls, Lily and Maya, decided to make their grand entrance to this world on Sunday February 17th at 4:05 and 4:29pm. Born at 31 weeks and 3 days, Lily weighed 3 pounds 7 ounces and was 17 inches long and Maya weighed 3 pounds 4 ounces and was also 17 inches long.

Now, only a week old they are doing well. They still a bit of a hospital stay ahead of them but each day they reach a little milestone and will soon hopefully be disconnected from all their treatments and their hospital stay will simply be to lounge around and getting fed and growing like weeds!
We are very fortunate to have a world renowned Neonatal Intensive Care Unit just an hour from where we live. I was able to get there in enough time to deliver there so the girls have had the very best of care since birth.

It has been a long haul since about 25 weeks when I started having the first problems with uncontrollable contractions and numerous trips to the hospital. We'd really like to deeply thank everyone for their well wishes, kind words of encouragement, for everyone who has kept us in their thoughts during this time.

Here's to a short hospital stay for our precious baby girls and hopes that they get to join us at home very soon.

Still Hanging in There with These Kiddos

Wow, it has been awhile since I've been able to update the blog. I will try to get better at that!

Me and "the girls" are still hanging in there. The past month has been a little a frustrating. I've been having some problems with contractions, even being on bedrest. They've landed me in Labor and Delivery four times now for monitoring with one of those trips they kept me for four days. It seems like I am just one of those "lucky" people with a highly irritable uterus that just wants to contract every time I move or one of the babies move (which is all the time!) or anytime I put anything into my stomach. They assure me that is is just something that happens in twin pregnancies. The good news is that so far these contractions are not starting preterm labor at all....they are just extremely nerve wracking for us! Right now I'm 29 weeks pregnant and I'm just trying to get to at least 34 weeks. All we can do is take it day by day....and hope it goes fast!

I'm spending my days online shopping and planning the new Spring Line for Wylde Ivy.
