40% Off Sale!

The Custom Shop is going well. I am surprisingly fast at getting the "made to order" products prepared and shipped. I love being able to offer a vast scent list with the made to order products unlike being limited to only 10 -15 scents like in the past with my ready made stock. I plan on going all "made to order" with my shop.

Because of this, I am cleaning out my premade stock (with the exception of Aroma Melts, Hair Care, and Solid Scrub Bars as these will be sticking around). I'm getting ready to redo my website and it will be much easier once don't need to worry about listing premade items.

While supplies last, all Ready Made Lotions, Body Oils, Body Polish, and Perfumes are 40% off! Hurry, stock is very limited!

40% Off Lotions
40% Off Body Oils
40% Off Body Polish
40% Off Perfumes

...and the winner is...

Where did June go, seriously? Last thing I remember was setting up the Name That Scent Contest...then bam!...it is July 4th already. I hope everyone enjoyed our little American holiday weekend.

So Monday was the big day, the day I had to finally pick the Name Contest winner for the scent formally known as Sarong. The contest turned out to be huge! I got hundreds of entries and so many fabulous names. It gave me a mild panic attack trying to choose a winner. There were funny names, elegant names, clever names...oh my! In the end I finally narrowed it down to a handful of my favorites (and most fitting to my current line). I then enlisted help of some of my family and friends who happened to be nearby and took a vote to pick a winner (since there was no way I would be able to choose).

The official name chosen was "Wylde Summer". To me, this is the scent of summer...THE SCENT. It takes me back to being at the beach years ago, baking in the sun, sand clinging to your skin, the salt water drying in your hair, suntan lotion melting off your skin. Ah, those were the days! I can still hear the waves crashing and the seagulls screaming. Since this is such an important scent to me, it is fitting that it should carry the "Wylde" name!

Since I had such a hard time choosing, I also sent prizes to the creators of the "runner up" names. I would like to try and tinker in my workshop and come up with some scents to go with those names. Oh, and there were also the three winners for the name draw part of the contest. All winners will be listed below.

A huge, huge thank you for everyone who joined in the Name That Scent Contest. I had so much fun, I'm already planning a new contest soon!

Name That Scent Contest Winner: Sandi G.
Runner Up: Jen S.
Runner Up: Erin S.
Name Draw Winner: Patricia S.
Name Draw Winner: Renee Q.
Name Draw Winner: Val.

Name that Scent Contest!

I had a lot of fun with the last naming contest for OlivaBella. Everyone was so creative, it was really hard to choose!

The new summer scent needs a new name! Name it and win, here's how!
So here we are, the new summer scent that was called Sarong now needs a new name! For those of you who have already sampled the fragrance, you're ahead of the game! Wear it, sniff it, study it...then name it!

If you have not yest sampled this new summer scent don't despair! Every order for the month of June will receive a Mini Perfume Mister sample (of said scent, of coarse!).

Not planning a June order and haven't sampled the scent yet? No problem, you can play along too! Just read the description and send those names on in!

The scent description:
Suntan lotion on summer glowing skin, salty ocean air clinging to your hair, the sound of the waves carried on the warm breeze...this is summer Notes of Suntan Lotion, Coconut, Sea Salt, Lime Peel, Jasmine, Musk, and Sun Bleached Wood

What can you win?
The winner will receive my entire Custom Shop product line in the scent with your new name gloriously emblazoned on the labels. You will get a one ounce Perfume, 1/3 ounce Perfume Oil, 7 ounce Hemp and Green Tea Lotion, 4 ounce Body Butter Cream, 4 ounce Silken Body Oil, and an 11 ounce Sugared Body Polish.

There will be three runner ups who will each receive a $15.00 gift certificate to my website! The runner ups will be randomly chosen from a pool of contest participants.

What is the scent called now and how do I order it?
For the rest of the month, the scent will be available by the name "No Name Yet" (clever, huh?). It will be available in the drop down option box for the products under that name.

Check out the temporary labels for this scent! Wow! All of the products in the scent "No Name Yet" will ship with with this label design until the contest is over and the new name is picked(with the exceptions of samples).

Ok, ok...so here are the rules and contest instructions.
- You may enter as many names as you like. You can compile them all into one list, or you may send multiple entries as you think of them
- Please use the contact form on my website for submitting the entries, and be sure to add Name Contest as the subject.
- The contest starts now and will be open until June 30th
- For the $15.00 gift certificate drawing, your name will be entered once whether you submit one idea for the contest or ten.
- I had an overwhelming response to the last contest. I will send out confirmations that I have received your entry but it may take me up to four business days.
- I will contact the winners via email, and I will also post the winning names on my blog.
I think that is about it.
Have fun!!

The changing face of Wylde Ivy

I need to start working on something that I've been putting off for far too long now. It wasn't intentional by any means, it just seems that there is never enough time left over for me to take care of my website properly. Wylde Ivy is 100% a one woman show. Everything from product development, scent creation, packaging design, photography, order packing, customer service, and even web maintenance is all done by me. Ah, I feel tired just thinking about all of that!

Well, I need to spend some time over the next few months sprucing up the website. I'm going to do what I can like redoing the photos, descriptions, reorganizing a bit. I may think about changing the face of the website a bit like different colors, layout, etc. We'll see how it goes :)

I'd love to hear from you!
What changes would you like to see at WyldeIvy.com?
What do you like about the site?
What do you dislike about the site?
Do you prefer to choose your product scents via a drop down menu like I currently have in place, or did you prefer the old way my site was laid out with each and every scent having its own product listing?

Let me hear your thoughts! I value your options!
